Professional Qualifications

Anuj’s medical journey began at the University of New England, where he graduated from medicine in 2013. He then completed basic physician training at Eastern Health before advancing to specialised training in Gastroenterology between Eastern Health and Monash Health. Following the completion of his advanced training he undertook an intestinal ultrasound fellowship through the Alfred Hospital and gained recognition of this through certification by the International Bowel Ultrasound Group(IBUS) and nationally through the Gastroenterology Network of Intestinal Ultrasound (GENIUS). He has since gone on to develop and lead an intestinal ultrasound service at Northern Health.

Anuj has a commitment to research and professional development. In 2024, he completed his PhD through Monash Health and Eastern Health, focusing on cross sectional imaging in Inflammatory Bowel Disease. He is now pursuing an Associate Fellowship in medical administration through the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators(RACMA).

He can provide care to both insured and uninsured patients with his dual appointment at Northern Health and Northern Private Hospital. He is readily available for direct access endoscopy referrals. Referring health practitioners can reach out to him directly to discuss patient needs.

Anuj’s research pursuits have been supported my multiple competitive grants including the Monash University RTP Stipend. His research work includes publications in renowned international journals like Inflammatory Bowel Diseases and Alimentary Pharmacology and Therapeutics.
