Fees
- We are a private billing practice and full payment is required on the day of consultation.
- Reduced fees are available for pensioners, students and healthcare card holders.
- DVA gold card holders will not incur any out of pocket fees.
- A Medicare rebate is available when there is a valid referral. In most cases, we can claim your Medicare rebate for you on the day of your consult. Medicare will then either transfer your rebate directly to your bank account if these details are held by them or they will issue you with a cheque.
- If you require a day procedure (such as a colonoscopy or gastroscopy), an Informed Financial Consent form will be provided to you
- Dr Bloom and Dr Braude participate in billing arrangements with all private health funds, so you will not receive an account from them for your procedure. They do not charge an out of pocket fee for their procedures for insured patients. There may be some out of pocket costs associated with your healthfund excess or with medication, pathology, additional testing or from the anesthetist.
